Tough Cookie share new single "Paycheck" and announce headline tour
London alt band Tough Cookie have announced their debut headline UK tour alongside the release of new track, "Paycheck", which previews their forthcoming mixtape, The Countryside Is Good For You.
Speaking of the single, frontperson August says: “I wrote this song on the way home from work - no headphones and a dead phone. I started noticing people, really seeing them - blank faces, tired eyes and I caught a reflection of myself in them. The brutal truth was I was stuck in a loop, worn down, sleep-deprived, and aching to escape it.”
The band have announced a UK tour; culminating in their biggest headline show to date at Hackney’s OSLO on 9 December, with the six-date tour taking in Bristol’s Louisiana and Manchester’s YES Basement along the way.
They will also support powerhouse punk duo The Pill on their upcoming eight date UK tour, kicking off with a sold-out show in Leeds on 24 September and wrapping in London at Omeara, with sold-out dates in Bristol and Manchester en route.
The Countryside Is Good For You which will be released on 10 October via Gravity Records, marks Tough Cookie’s debut physical release, and is available to pre-order now.
