Toronto band Wine Lips release new single "If You Don’t Know" as they ready upcoming LP
Toronto garage-psych outfit Wine Lips have released "If You Don’t Know", a rose-tinted single from their forthcoming album TV Dinner, which arrives on 28 August via Stomp Records.
Pulling from the blown-out crunch of ’90s alt rock and keeping the band’s psych instincts dialled in, the track summons a specific late-summer feeling: a high-speed rip down the motorway at sunset, bugs hitting the glass, windows down, volume too loud. Lyrically, "If You Don’t Know" explores the odd grief of realising time no longer stretches the way it did in childhood. The band pull from The Hives, Osees, and Frankie and the Witch Fingers. Over the past decade, Wine Lips have amassed over 50 million streams, earned a shout‑out from Iggy Pop on his BBC Radio programme, and toured across North America, Europe, the UK, and Asia. TV Dinner's release will be followed by a fall North American tour supporting Death From Above 1979, with another European run already in the works.
