Tomo Katsurada and Misha Panfilov announce collaborative album, Eternal Almost

05 March 2026, 11:55 | Written by Kayla Sandiford

Japanese musician Tomo Katsurada and Estonian composer Misha Panfilov have revealed the details of their upcoming collaborative album, Eternal Almost, and shared lead singles "Mostra" and "Punch".

The collaboration comes after Tomo Katsurada's debut solo EP Dream of the Egg, released in 2024, after a decade fronting Japanese psychedelic rock band Kikagaku Moyo. Last year, Panfilov released a string of compositions, Skyways, Music for the Film "Who I Am", and To Blue From Grey in May. They introduce Eternal Almost with lead track "Mostra" and the track's B-side "Punch", which will be released on an exlusive 7".

In an Instagram post announcing the new record, Katsurada shares: "United by a shared sense of humour and musical curiosity, we had long admired each other's music from afar. When the opportunity to collaborate finally arrived, it felt completely natural, and by the time the album was finished, it almost seemed as though we had known each other always. This record was born from a simple love of songwriting and creative exchange. All in all, there was laughter, honesty, and a lot of joy throughout the process."
