Tirzah cancels North American tour dates due to pneumonia
Tirzah was set to embark on a North American tour yesterday evening (12 October) but has since revealed that she is unable to travel due to pneumonia.
The tour was to be in support of the surprise album, Trip9love…???, which she released last month. It was the third album from Tirzah, produced by long-time musical collaborator Mica Levi, and was written and recorded at both their homes and various corners of South East London and Kent.
In a statement on her Instagram, she wrote that a cough had developed into pneumonia, and she was unable to play the scheduled tour dates, that included stops in Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver and New York.
“i am so sorry to say a persistent cough has now developed into pneumonia so I’m unable to travel right now,” she wrote. “it’s with a heavy heart that I have to cancel my october headline shows and ii points in Miami. thanks for understanding and sorry again. x will be back soon x."
trip9love…??? is out on digital platforms now. A physical release will be available on 17 November, and is available to pre-order.
