Tierra Whack and J.I.D. feature on Jill Scott's first studio album in a decade
Jill Scott has revealed her sixth studio album To Whom This May Concern, due for a 13 February release, and with features from Ab-Soul, J.I.D., Tierra Whack and Too $hort.
Promising a body of work that's "equal parts magic, medicine, and mastery", Scott's first album in ten years also includes input from producers Adam Blackstone, Om'Mas Keith, DJ Premier, Camper, Andre Harris, Seige Montracity, Trombone Shorty, Eric Wortham, DW Wright, and VT Tolan. The first single from the record, Beautiful People is also out now and you can listen below.
The record follows a milestone year celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her groundbreaking debut, Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1, which won a Grammy and is recognised as a landmark of modern soul music. Scott celebrated the record with a sold-out 20th Anniversary Tour across North America
The album art is by visual artist Marcellus, whose work sparked the visual and emotional foundation of the project.
