The Weeknd teases the end of his After Hours / Dawn FM trilogy
Yesterday evening, Abel 'The Weeknd' Tesfaye took to his socials to tease his sixth studio album.
A post on his Instagram featured the album covers of his 2020 album, After Hours, and 2022's Dawn FM, as well as photo with a question mark and a parental advisory logo in the bottom right corner. The caption of the post was an emoji with the number three on it, suggesting that his two previous albums are part of a trilogy which is drawing to a close.
Last year, The Weeknd was the first artist to surpass 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and was named as the world's most popular artist by Guinness World Records, statistically. Passing 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify helped The Weeknd achieve the new title.
The Weeknd recently featured on Diddy's latest album, The Love Album: Off the Grid – his first solo album in 17 years.
