Sean Paul celebrates signing to Universal with hit-packed Electric Ballroom show
Dancehall legend Sean Paul played an one-off headline show at Camden's Electric Ballroom on Tuesday night, fresh from inking a deal with Universal via Island Records.
The Grammy award-winning Jamaican pop star, who released his debut album Stage One with VP Records in 2000, pleased the crowd with an onslaught of hits.
These included "Get Busy" and "Gimmie The Light" from his breakthrough album Free Dem Boyz, "We Be Burning" and "Give It Up To Me" from his third album The Trinity, as well as recent songs such as his featured collaboration with Sia, "Cheap Thrills".
Saving arguably his most popular track till last, Sean Paul performed the beat-heavy "Temperature" to the sold-out venue: a venue full of fans reliving nights out of yore - many who were excited to hear what's next.
