Raury headlines a sold out Red Gallery in London
Following-on from a SBTRKT support slot last week, Raury played his debut headline show in London at the Red Gallery in Shoreditch last night.
The 18 year old Atlanta prodigy is in Town promoting his online project Indigo Child, as he continues his seemingly unstoppable ascent to the very top of the pop-nodding hip-hop world.
Opening with a projected film of him and his tour mates messing-around in nearby newsagents, Raury exploded onto the stage with cries of "London!" dressed (appropriately) all in red with his trademark wide-brimmed hat. Opening track "War (Part One)" quickly morphed into the metal-inspired "Chariots of Fire" before his Vancouver Sleep Clinic collaboration "Superfly".
Flanked by an impressive, interchanging three-piece band, the rumoured Kanye-collaborator also ran through "Cigarette Song", a cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody", his SBTRKT-feature "Higher" and breakout number "Gods Whisper" in the packed cellar space.
Raury's Indigo Child project is available to download for free here.
