Ahead of the release of their hotly-tipped new album What Went Down, Foals played to an intimate crowd at London’s Village Underground last night (25th August) to launch their new LP which comes out this Friday (28th August).
The sold-out crowd was made up of ballot winning fans who were treated to a set that featured old favourites such as “My Number”, “Inhaler” and “Two Steps, Twice” alongside latest singles “What Went Down” and “Mountain At My Gates”.
The sweaty set also saw the live debut of What Went Down tracks such as “Give It All”, as well as “A Knife In The Ocean” and “Snake Oil”.
The show was the first time the band have played a headline set at a UK venue in a considerable while, and comes after the release of the CCTV-inspired performance video for “London Thunder” went online two days prior to the show. You can actually preview every track from the new album in part now.
Foals will be touring the UK later this year, playing club venues across the country in November and a special performance at Margate Dreamland on the opening night of Rockfeedback and Moshi Moshi’s new By The Sea event.
