Compny play their first headline show at London’s Sebright Arms
Last night Compny enjoyed their first headline show, entertaining London circuit stalwart the Sebright Arms.
The somewhat mysterious Brighton group showed off their colourful (Cf flag logo) brand of indie-pop. Sitting carefully between Two Door Cinema Club and brighter moments of Bombay Bicycle Club, the quintet flew through impressive first releases, with "Lovers" appearing early in the piece before the standout "Begging" preceded a festival-ready closer.
Fresh from sizeable support slots with the returning Wombats, the band are stage-ready for such an early incarnation, with their frontman interacting cooly with the bustling floor and the five-piece gelling together neatly throughout the tight set.
