The Linda Lindas share hardcore-inspired single “Blood On Our Hands” ahead of new album

Ahead of their third album, GOTTA GET OUT, The Linda Lindas have shared a hardcore beatdown led by bassist Eloise Wong, addressing our complicity in mass murder.

“We’re living in very dark times and it’s really easy to feel hopeless,” Wong explained. “‘Blood On Our Hands’ is about doing what you can, not just on national boycott days and marches, but thinking every day about where your money goes and what you put your money towards, and we have to do our best to support each other.”

The track follows previous singles “Closer (Feat. Hayley Williams)” and “Burning Out”, and arrives with a live performance video directed by Ryan Baxley, which you can watch below. It is the third preview of GOTTA GET OUT, a record on which the band broke away from the routines that shaped earlier material. They decamped to Palm Springs and Long Beach to write together in the same room for the first time, working through unfinished ideas and spontaneous demos.

A lengthy run of North American dates begins in Sacramento on 16 September. Support on select shows comes from Bleachers, The Rat Utopia Experiment, VIAL, Deux Visages, Adan Diaz and Grace Bowers, with a festival appearance at Tom Morello’s Power to the People event in Columbia, Maryland. No UK or European dates have been announced alongside the album news. The tour wraps in Los Angeles on 7 November, where the band will support Jimmy Eat World at the Hollywood Bowl.

GOTTA GET OUT is released on 28 August via Reprise/Warner Records
