
The Hold Steady announce ninth album The Price of Progress with lead single "Sideways Skull"
The Hold Steady are back with news of their ninth album The Price of Progress, and have also treated fans to the first single "Sideways Skull".
"Sideways Skull" is the group's first outing since 2021's Open Door Policy album, and is teamed with news of their ninth album The Price of Progress, which is once again produced by Bonny Light Horseman's Josh Kaufman.
As well as announcing their new album, The Hold Steady have announced a 20th anniversary taking place at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg on 28 January (it's the same building they made their live debut at on 22 January 2003). Tickets go on sale this Friday (6 January).
