The Go! Team celebrate 20th anniversary of Thunder, Lightning, Strike
The Go! Team will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Thunder, Lightning, Strike with a reissue that comes with a bonus disc of Ian Parton’s original CDR versions.
To celebrate, the album is being pressed on translucent red clever vinyl and both CD and LP are packaged with a recreation of the original CDR versions of the album that stands up as a document of band leader Ian Parton’s initial vision for Thunder, Lightning, Strike.
A Rough Trade exclusive edition is machine numbered and pressed on red and yellow splatter vinyl and comes with an exclusive 7”, featuring new versions of "Hold Yr Terror Close" by the Pastels and The Orielles.
The Go! Team have also asked a range of artists they love and admire to remix and refashion tracks from the album – every month a new one will be revealed – with the latest being a take on "Everyone’s a V.I.P. to Someone" by Cornershop, following on from reworks by Lilien Rosarian, CV Vision and Louie Zong.
They will also embark on shows in the UK, the US and beyond where the band will play the album in full.
The 20th anniversary reissue of Thunder, Lightning, Strike, is set for release on 13 September via Memphis Industries. For more information, visit thegoteam.co.uk.
