The Black Wizards share new song, "Wishing Well"
The Black Wizards have released "Wishing Well", the latest single from their upcoming album, Force Majeure & The Acts of God due in September.
"Wishing Well" follows earlier singles "Killing The Buzz" and "Loose" as the third preview of a collection of songs that moves away from the band's previous stoner rock associations and into more exploratory territory — in this case, a proto-punk-forward sound.
Speaking about the track, singer-guitarist Joana Brito explains: “Everyone has their own demons, their own battles – that perfect inconvenience that leaves you so angry and exhausted you wish you could rip it out of your head. ‘Wishing Well’ captures the endless cycle of finding the strength to face it, fight it, fall, rise, fall again, and keep starting over, again and again.”
Force Majeure & The Acts of God is released on 4 September via Hassle Records
