The Beatles’ former Apple HQ to open as permanent fan experience in 2027
Apple Corps Ltd has confirmed that 3 Savile Row – the company’s former headquarters and the site of The Beatles' legendary January 1969 rooftop concert – will become a permanent ticketed fan experience from 2027.
More than half a century after The Beatles played their final public performance on a rooftop in Mayfair, that building is finally opening to the public. The seven-floor Savile Row destination will include a recreated Let It Be studio and access to the original rooftop concert location
Titled “The Beatles at 3 Savile Row”, the attraction will span seven floors and feature previously unseen material from Apple Corps’ archives, rotating exhibitions, a fan store, and a recreation of the basement studio where Let It Be was recorded. Visitors will also be able to stand on the rooftop itself, where the railings remain unchanged from the day of that era-defining performance, later immortalised in Peter Jackson’s 2021 documentary Get Back.
“Every single day, fans are taking pictures of the outside of 3 Savile Row – but next year they can go in and explore all seven floors,” said Apple Corps CEO Tom Greene. “It’s such a trip to get back to 3 Savile Row,” added Paul McCartney. “There are so many special memories within the walls, not to mention the rooftop.”
Ringo Starr was characteristically more concise: “Wow, it’s like coming home.”
The building has long been a pilgrimage site for Beatles followers, serving as Apple Corps’ headquarters from 1968 and housing the band’s final live performance together on 30 January 1969. The new development marks Apple Corps’ return to its “spiritual home”, according to Greene, and represents the first official dedicated Beatles fan destination in London.
The announcement arrives during a period of renewed activity for The Beatles’ commercial and creative legacy. In 2023, the band scored a UK number one single with “Now And Then”, while recent years have seen a string of documentary releases, including Beatles ‘64 and a restored version of The Beatles Anthology. A four-film cinematic event directed by Sam Mendes, starring Harris Dickinson, Barry Keoghan, Paul Mescal, and Joseph Quinn, is scheduled for release in April 2028.
Further details of the Savile Row experience, along with a second fan attraction currently in development, are expected in the coming months.
