Thaiboy Digital links with Bladee for "Irish Tears"
Thaiboy Digital has released “Irish Tears”, the third single from his upcoming collaborative album Paradise with Swedish production outfit swedm® and featuring fellow Drain Gang associate Bladee.
The accompanying video, directed by longtime Drain Gang collaborator Gus Reichwald, was filmed in Thailand at the turn of spring and follows the pair through sunlit beachscapes with a stripped-back visual language that mirrors the track’s introspective tone.
Paradise sees Thaiboy returns English for a run of club tracks with swedm®’s hypersaturated synth work and kinetic arrangements. Formed by established figures within Sweden’s electronic underground, swedm® includes a number of producers whose individual work has already helped shape the global modern rave revival. Varg²™ and Eurohead played a pivotal role in shaping Skrillex’s Grammy nominated album F*CK U SKRILLEX, with support from fellow swedm® member jamesjamesjames.
Born in Khon Kaen, Thailand, Thaiboy Digital relocated to Sweden as a teenager and later joined Drain Gang, the Stockholm collective that includes Bladee, Ecco2k and producer Whitearmor, with close creative ties to Yung Lean.
Paradise is released on 8 May via B.O.S.S.S.
