Tasha explores bittersweet goodbyes on new single, "Summer"
Chicago-born musician Tasha has released her new song, "Summer".
"Summer" is Tasha's first new music since her 2024 album All This And So Much More, as well as her Broadway debut in the Sufjan Stevens musical Illinoise. The track was produced with regular collaborator Gregory Uhlmann (Meg Duffy, Perfume Genius), and was recorded in sessions in Los Angeles.
Speaking about the new song, Tasha explains: "'Summer' was written in June of 2024 in the middle of my Broadway run with Illinoise. It's a reflection on the bitter-sweet acceptance of saying goodbye to someone or something important to you in pursuance of a different, meaningful magic."
"Summer" is out now via Bayonet Records
