Little Grandad, Dove Ellis, Bel Cobain, and more among first names revealed for Sŵn Festival

Cardiff's Sŵn Festival has announced the first wave of artists for its 19th edition, taking place between 15-17 October 2026.

Today's announcement features local and international talent, including Brixton Windmill's latest fixture, Americana-forward band Little Grandad, Irish folk artist Dove Ellis, London R&B singer Bel Cobain, and Welsh multi-instrumentalist and composer Cerys Hafana in addition to 2Charm, Asidhara, Bambees, Bathing Suits, Blood Wizard, Blue Amber, Bureau De Change, Cardinals, Casi, Chwaer Fawr, Cowboy Hunters, Dana Margolin, Dermot Henry, Disgusting Sisters, Esmerelda Road, Fatale, Foot Foot, Glasshouse Red Spider Mite, Good Health Good Wealth, Heartpiece, HMLTD, Honeyglaze, Ifan, James Emmanuel, Lacuna, Lafant, Lauren Auder, Lo Rays, LSD and the Search for God, Lucia & the Best Boys, Maeve, Makeshift Art Bar, Modern Woman, Mould, Nation Unrest, PainKiller, Personal Trainer, Pyncher, Pys Melyn, SexyTadhg, Shaking Hand, SHINOBii, Shlug, Sold For Parts, Tai Haf Heb Drigolyn, The Dogs, The Joy Hotel, The Orielles, Theatre, Tokomololo, Tony Bontana, waverley., Working Men’s Club, World News, Wrkhouse, and Wyatt.

Sŵn Festival will be held across several local venues over three days of programming, including Tramshed, Clwb Ifor Bach, St. John’s Church, Jacobs Basement, Fuel, The Canopi, Tiny Rebel, Little O’Neill’s and Porter’s. This is part of Cardiff's Music City Festival, which runs over two weeks between 2 and 17 October 2026.

Speaking about this year's edition of Sŵn Festival, Head of Music Adam Williams says, “Whilst we live in a world that surrounds us with negativity, it's been extremely uplifting to work on Sŵn’s 19th edition. 2026's lineup is filled with incredible new music. We have the pleasure of welcoming Dove Ellis to Cardiff for the first time who will be performing a special guest spot over at Tramshed. Other Cardiff first-timers come in the form of Cardinals, Lucia & the Best Boys, Theatre, Bathing Suits, 2charm, Lauren Auder, Shaking Hand plus dozens of others, as well as much anticipated returning artists including Working Mens Club, HMLTD and Porridge Radio's Dana Margolin who come loaded with new music.”
