Sweeping Promises announce new album, You Say I Romanticize
Post-punk duo Sweeping Promises have revealed the details of their upcoming album, You Say I Romanticize, and shared new single, "Shooting Shadows".
You Say I Romanticize sees guitarist Caufield Schnug and bassist-vocalist Lira Mondal return three years after the release of their second album, Good Living Is Coming for You, with opener "Shooting Shadows" arriving as the first preview of the new collection of songs.
You Say I Romanticize was recorded over eighteen months, and is described as a "tribute to the chaos of creation and collaboration under shifting circumstances" as the pair tracked demos while planning shows, touring, and working on albums with other bands. They invited touring drummer Spenser Gralla to play on the songs to capture the feeling of their live show. Following the release, the band will be returning to the stage for a US tour, with further international dates to be announced.
