Suki Waterhouse announces third album, Loveland
Suki Waterhouse has announced her upcoming album, Loveland, due for release in July via Island Records.
The announcement follows Waterhouse's signing to Island Records last year and the release of the album's lead single "Back in Love" last month, with the second single, "Tiny Raisin", set to arrive this Friday (24 April). Loveland arrives as Waterhouse's first full-length release in two years, following on from her second album, Memoir of a Sparklemuffin.
Loveland features fourteen tracks co-written by Waterhouse, created with a range of collaborators including Amy Allen, Aaron Dessner, Joel Little, Dan Wilson, Jules Apollinaire, and Natalie Findlay.
Speaking about the album, Waterhouse explains: “Loveland to me lives in the distance between a former self who felt most alive in romance, fantasy and momentum, and a present self reaching for something steadier, more
intimate and more true. That split is deepened by motherhood, and by the strange feeling of becoming someone new while still carrying the shape of who you were before.”
