Suede further preview forthcoming album with new single, "Trance State"
Suede have unveiled "Trance State" as the second single from their forthcoming tenth studio album, Antidepressants.
Speaking about the track, "Trance State", Brett Anderson said: “When you fall apart, there's such an honesty and a truth to that. You're revealing your real self. You're presenting yourself to the world completely unvarnished. You're not able to present a facade to the world anymore. It's just you.”
Introducing Suede’s tenth album, Brett Anderson said: “If Autofiction was our punk record, Antidepressants is our post-punk record. It’s about the tensions of modern life, the paranoia, the anxiety, the neurosis. We are all striving for connection in a disconnected world. This was the feel I wanted the songs to have. The album is called Antidepressants. This is broken music for broken people.”
Antidepressants is set for release on 5 September via BMG and available to pre-order here.
