Streams for The Cramps' "Goo Goo Muck" surge following Wednesday Prom dance scene
Netflix's Wednesday series has resulted in streams surging for The Cramps' "Goo Goo Muck", which soundtracked the Prom dance scene.
After Stranger Things gave Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" a new lease of life earlier this year, The Cramps have also seen an increase in streams after their 1981 track "Goo Goo Muck" was included in Netflix's Wednesday during the Prom dance scene.
Wednesday Addams' (played by Jenna Ortega) dance from the series has been taking TikTok by storm, but Billboard also reports that The Cramps' "Goo Goo Muck" experienced a 5000% increase in US streams from 23-28 November, going from 2,500 daily streams to 134,000.
Last night (4 December) on Twitter, MARINA shared a video of her doing Wednesday Addams' dance to a sped up version of Lady Gaga's "Bloody Mary", and wrote, "Wednesday’s child".
