Strawberry Guy announces first album in five years, Give Me A Dream

Give Me A Dream follows Strawberry Guy's 2021 debut Sun Outside My Window, and was first previewed with earlier singles "I'll Never Feel That Young Again" and "Mrs Magic". "Love Me Like You Used To" is the third taster of the collection of songs, exploring the desire for reconciliation with an accompanying video starring Sadie Sandler.

“I find I write in times of sadness to help me try and overcome or process my feelings,” Stephens says of the new single. “I think it’s really important to reflect on issues this way because it gives me so much perspective. We all have difficult relationships and this is definitely a song about that.. I hope that this song can give people the same perspective and hope that it gave me."

Give Me A Dream was recorded at Sonic Ranch in Texas and mastered by Matt Colton (Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala). The album sees Stephens balancing vulnerability with a sense of optimism, as he explains, “Music is a way of giving myself hope and clarity. And I think that if I can give that to other people, then that's a beautiful thing.”

Ahead of the album's release, Strawberry Guy will be touring throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, with shows at Manchester's Band On The Wall (18 September), Scala in London (20 September), and more. The tour will continue through to October before he heads to North America for a run of dates in November and December.
