Steam Down return with first single of 2022 "Overcome"
Steam Down are back with "Overcome", their first single of 2022.
"Overcome" is Steam Down's first release since their 2021 debut EP Five Fruit, and is, according to a press release, the first preview of new music arriving in 2023.
The group's founder Ahnansé says, "Over the past few years things have been difficult for many of us. We wrote this track to help overcome life’s hardships and to spark that fire in our bellies to push even harder. This is not a political message, it is a message for people, for society, for all of us who have struggled through being isolated in lockdown or otherwise, being made redundant, livelihoods taken away and the uncertainty of not knowing what’s next in our current times. We may not know what's happening next, but we can trust the resilience we as humans have shown throughout history, to make it through the most difficult of circumstances and situations. "Overcome" was written as an important reminder and consistent affirmation, that we will make it through."
Steam Down's "Overcome" track is out now on Decca.
