Soraya Cinema shares new single, "Movie"
French electronic producer Soraya Cinema has released his new song, "Movie".
"Movie" follows Soraya Cinema's single "Creepy" released in August. The song was made in one day while Soraya Cinema was at home watching Phantom of the Paradise (1974), with the melodies recorded at his favourite French-Tunisian hookah bar in Paris, Le Droop la Courneuve. The song arrives alongside a music video captured in Tunisia.
Soraya Cinema's songs are described as "confessions", emerging from his time recording music in private, and discovering the world of the UK underground, where he got his start as a producer. Having collaborated with Feng on his debut album, Weekend Rockstar, and released his own EP Bestfriend earlier this year, Soraya Cinema is building on a sound described as "a fantasy as much as a confrontation of reality".
"Movie" is out now on LaNouvelleVague
