Sophie May shares details of her debut album, Stars and Teeth

Speaking of the new single, Sophie May explains: “Obviously there are a lot of end of the world songs out there. And for good reason too, I think everybody feels that weight that comes with being alive today. I wanted to write a song that represents that feeling, shouting into a void that feels a little hopeless. That being said I didn’t want it to be completely depressing so I made it bossa nova."

“For the past couple of years I’ve been pouring all my energy into making my debut album Stars And Teeth. I wanted each song to feel as though it was on a level with the other. So that meant lots of re-writing and re-working throughout the process. I hope it’s landed somewhere that feels balanced and exciting. My dream was to create an album that people would want to listen to over and over again. That being said I’ll also be very happy with just the one listen from start to finish too,” May shares, commenting on the album.
