Son Lux reveal details of upcoming album, Out Into

Out Into is set to be the trio's first new studio release since scoring Everything Everywhere All at Once, as well as composing the soundtrack for Marvel’s Thunderbolts. "Endlessly" arrives as the first preview of the new album, and is described as an anthem "dedicated to embracing one's true self".

Speaking about the single, Son Lux share: “‘Endlessly’ is about surrendering to who you are rather than resisting it. There’s vulnerability in that, but also freedom. The song started as something commissioned for performance, but it quickly became central to the emotional language of the album.”

Out Intro came together over two years and was recorded between film projects, and serves as a more improvisational collection of songs than their previous soundtrack work, shifting between pop-oriented and experimental sounds. “Every moment is an exit and an entrance at the same time,” explains founder Ryan Lott. “That’s partly what ‘Out Into’ means. We come out of something and into something else.”

“These songs are about losing and finding ourselves,” Lott adds. “How we lose ourselves in relationships, in work, in our children, in our pursuits and desires. So how do we find ourselves? How do we find each other?”
