SON Estrella Galicia confirms schedule and workshops for Soundhood East London

The latest instalment of SON Estrella Galicia's microfestival will kick off on Friday, 25 September at 6:30 PM with a performance from singer-songwriter Jo From School at Hackney Style Council. This will be followed by music from Northampton noise rock trio thistle. and Madrid indie-punk band Toldos Verdes at Paper Dress Vintage from 8:15 PM.

Just ahead of the live performances at Paper Dress Vintage, SON Estrella Galicia will be hosting their "Soundcrafters" workshop, which demonstrates how the ingredients of beer can be translated into the language of music. Using an application developed specifically for the experience, participants will be able to create their own musical compositions inspired by the beer that they are tasting.

On Saturday, 26 September, The BBE Store will feature a DJ Set from noon onwards, coinciding with a "What Does Your Beer Taste Like?" workshop — a sensory experience and guided beer tasting in which participants taste real beer-brewing ingredients while listening to songs that reflect the characteristics of each ingredient.

Later in the evening, The Orchestra (For Now) will take over The Sebright Arms at 7:30 PM, while another "Soundcrafters" event will be held at The Victoria Dalston at the same time. Closing out the night at The Victoria from 8:30 PM are South London indie rock trio Honeyglaze, Madrid post-punk band Error 97, and Brighgton dream-pop outfit Goodbye.

A ticket for Soundhood East London — which are on sale now via Dice — allows entry to all sets at The Victoria Dalston and full access to sets at Sebright Arms, Paper Dress Vintage, BBE Store, Hackney Style Council until the venue reaches capacity. A limited number of spaces will be available for the beer experiences, released to those who have purchased tickets.

SON Estrella Galicia has offered unique music and beer experiences since 2009, with events hosted across Spain, Germany, Brazil, Portugal and the US, and formally launching in the UK back in 2022. They have since platformed grassroots venues across East London and Brighton as vital spaces to host rising talent, and to facilitate cultural exchange.
