Snoh Aalegra announces new album, Legendary Love
Iranian-Swedish singer and producer Snoh Aalegra has revealed plans for her upcoming album, Legendary Love, and shared new single “I Love You” featuring Nile Rodgers and Raphael Saadiq.
The announcement follows last week's release of Aalegra’s first new single in three years, "Karma," and arrives with another album preview, "I Love You."
“I Love You” was co-written by Aalegra and Joel Compass, with production from Josh Grant and additional instrumentation from Rodgers on guitar and Saadiq on bass. The track is also accompanied by a music video directed by Alfred Marroquín.
Legendary Love was written and recorded over a period of two and a half years, following Aalegra’s growth within a relationship that is described as a “dated karmic connection that never fully materialised”.
"I don't think the greatest love stories are measured by how long they last. They're measured by who they ask you to become," she explains. "Every song holds a piece of who I was, who I became, and who I will continue to be because I allowed myself to love this deeply. This love brought me back to the era of music I fell in love with growing up. It carried the same longing, romance, and nostalgia that first made me dream of becoming an artist."
