
Skrillex sings for first time in eight years with Bibi Bourelly on new track "Don't Get Too Close"
Ahead of releasing his long-awaited second album Quest For Fire this week, Skrillex has delivered his new track "Don't Get Too Close", which features Bibi Bourelly and is the first song to feature Skrillex's vocals in eight years.
Since the start of 2023, Skrillex has shared five singles - "Xena" with Nai Barghouti, Bladee collaboration "Real Spring", "Rumble" featuring Fred again.. and Flowdan, "Way Back" featuring PinkPantheress and Trippie Redd, and "Leave Me Like This" with Bobby Raps - and on Saturday (11 February) Skrillex announced his second album Quest For Fire via a basement set video. Yesterday (13 February) he also shared the latest preview of the record, "Don't Get Too Close", which features Bibi Bourelly and also marks the first track with Skrillex's own vocals in eight years.
Before "Don't Get Too Close", Skrillex, real name Sonny Moore, contributed vocals to "Mind", a song that featured on his 2015 collaborative Jack Ü album with Diplo.
His forthcoming album, which will follow his 2014 debut album Recess, is expected to feature new collaborations with Four Tet, Missy Elliott, Pete Wentz, Aluna, Dylan Brady, Porter Robinson and more.
"Don't Get Too Close" featuring Bibi Bourelly is out now. Skrillex will release his Quest For Fire album this Friday, 17 February.
