Simon & Schuster to refund those who bought "hand-signed" edition of Bob Dylan's The Philosophy of Modern Song book
Simon & Schuster have decided to refund buyers of Bob Dylan's "hand-signed" exclusive edition of his The Philosophy of Modern Song book, after it turned out Dylan's signature is a "penned replica".
Earlier this month Bob Dylan released his The Philosophy of Modern Song book that features 60 essays written by Dylan about songs by the likes of Elvis Costello, Hank Williams, Nina Simone and more. There was also an exclusive, "hand-signed" edition up for grabs for $599 through Simon & Schuster, but it turns out that Dylan's signature wasn't done by hand.

After receiving complaints over the fake "hand-singed" edition, Simon & Schuster shared a statement on socials apologising for advertising it as "hand-signed", "To those who purchased the Philosophy Of Modern Song limited edition, we want to apologize," Simon & Schuster's tweet read. "As it turns out, the limited edition books do contain Bob’s original signature, but in a penned replica form. We are addressing this information by providing each purchaser with an immediate refund."
