Sigrid returns with first solo release in two years, "Jellyfish"
Award-winning artist Sigrid has made her return with the release of the standalone single, "Jellyfish".
"It’s my slightly more free-spirited and joyous side," Sigrid says of Jellyfish. "I wanted it to feel easy — like a Scandinavian summer. Flirting can feel so chaotic and stupid, but that’s the best part of it.”
“Jellyfish” was written alongside longtime collaborator Askjell Solstrand — who co-wrote and produced Sigrid’s breakthrough ballad “Dynamite”. Their 10-year friendship has been fertile ground for vulnerability in the studio, with complete trust to experiment. "I love using my voice as a vessel to pour my heart out," she shares, "but on this song, I wanted it to sound carefree, joyful and playful - maybe a bit nonchalant."
Two years ago, Sigrid shared The Hype EP, marking her first release since her second album, How To Let Go, came out in 2022.
