Sibille Attar details her first English album in five years, Amor Fati
Stockholm-based artist Sibille Attar has announced her upcoming album, Amor Fati, and released new single, "KL + SA".
Attar's last English album was 2021's A History of Silence, but Amor Fati also follows her 2023 release Sårad Ängel, 2024's Brutal, and her self-titled compilation album released in May. The collection of songs explore the cycle of falling in love, with "KL + SA" arriving as the second taster.
Speakng about the indie-pop-infused track, Attar says: "I wrote this song in a heartbeat which is surprising since my heart was broken. I had that song ‘Vampire Empire’ by Big Thief in memory, inspired by how clearsighted a lyric can be even if you’re spun all around then asked not to spin."
Amor Fati was written across Sweden, Belgium, Germany, and the United States and was self-produced by Attar. The title, Amor Fati, suggests an acceptance of fate, embracing the complexity of developing closeness despite the original intention for the album to be a "pure love album".
