Shygirl returns with new track, "Alyse"
Shygirl has released "Alyse", her first new music of this year.
"Alyse" follows a series of EPs and singles released last year, as well as the remix album Room 2 RMX, which featured reworked songs from Saweetie, BAMBII, Jorja Smith, and more. Written and produced by Shygirl alongside longtime collaborator Karma Kid and JD Reid, the track is said to mark a new creative direction for the artist. The accompanying video shows a story unfolding in three parts, developed from an original story and script by Shygirl and her writing partner George Smale and directed by Francesco Loy Bell and Oliver Bell.
Last year, Shygirl celebrated five years of her debut project ALIAS with remix project ALIAS is ME. Now, she looks ahead to a short run of European shows, which will include an appearance at Iceland Airwaves in Reykjavik — with more teased to come soon.
