Sheherazaad recruits Daatri Dadhich for new folk-pop song, “Registaan”
Composer and theatre artist Sheherazaad has released "Registaan" featuring Indian singer-songwriter Daatri Dadhich, the latest taster from her upcoming album, Khudgarzi.
"Registaan" follows previous singles "Pakeezah" and "Andhera", and features vocals from Dadhich. The track arrives alongside a music video directed by Vincent Moon, which features Sheherazaad and her ensemble performing the live version at Erased Tapes’ London studio.
“‘Registaan’ is based in a crass desertland wherein really lonely women emerge,” Sheherazaad explains of the song. “These girls attempt to begin life, where life goes to die. The wilderness of feminine solitude. Brutality as a soothing hymn.”
Khudgarzi is released on 20 November 2026 via Erased Tapes
