Shearwater team up with Laurie Anderson on new single, “You and Your Dog”
Shearwater have unveiled their song "You and Your Dog" featuring Laurie Anderson, the latest preview of their upcoming album, The New World, due this Friday (31 July).
"You and Your Dog" follows previous singles “Daydream Unbeliever”, “More and More” and “Slugs In The Marigolds”, and sees art-pop artist Laurie Anderson step in on vocals. “Laurie’s been a friend and hero of ours for a long time and when I wrote this story, it was easy to imagine in her voice,” singer Jonathan Meiburg. “I was thrilled when she agreed to perform it.”
Shearwater have also announced a UK/EU co-headlining tour with indie outfit Loma, which Meiburg plays in alongside Emily Lee and Dan Duszynski. The tour is set to kick off on 31 October in The Netherlands, following Meiburg's solo performances at Rough Trade West in London (1 August), Rough Trade Bristol (3 August), and Rough Trade NYC (17 September).
