Sex Mask announce new EP Raid, share title track and two remixes

Melbourne post-punk trio Sex Mask have detailed a new EP, Raid, and shared its title track alongside remixes from Japanese black metal gabber experimentalists Violent Magic Orchestra and producer B-Mo. The record lands on 31 July via Unpopular.

Speaking about the new single, the band say: “Raid is delusional monologues. When someone should have helped but didn’t, so you have to help yourself. You Raid.”

The two accompanying remixes pull the original in starkly different directions. B-Mo’s version recasts it as something built for a basement club, leaning into jungle drum work and synths, while Violent Magic Orchestra drive it into darker, uptempo industrial terrain.

The four-track collection follows 2025’s Body Broker EP, which cemented Sex Mask’s reputation for a volatile blend of early 80s industrial, no-wave, and absurdist punk. A self-contained writing and production unit – Vicente Moncada on drums and production, Gray on vocals and lyrics, Kaya Martin on guitars and synths – the band have already clocked over 2.5 million streams across their early releases. They’ve previously supported Fcukers, Big Special, and Fat White Family, and last year played a sold-out Scala in London alongside Radio Free Alice.

The new EP arrives ahead of a packed summer schedule. Sex Mask head out on a UK and European headline tour in August and September, taking in stops at End of the Road, Manchester Psych Festival, Reeperbahn Festival and Leffingeleuren, with UK dates in Newcastle, Edinburgh, Leeds, London and Brighton. A newly announced autumn run sees them added to Pitchfork Paris in November, alongside a one-off headline show at Pomanteo in Athens, hosted by the team behind Plissken Festival.
