Self Esteem shares a cover of "You Are So Beautiful", in collaboration with Dove's new campaign.
Rebecca Lucy Taylor AKA Self Esteem has covered the Billy Preston and Bruce Fisher classic - made famous by Joe Cocker - 'You Are So Beautiful'. The song was recorded in collaboration with Dove as the soundtrack to The Cost Of Beauty, the latest film for the Dove Self-Esteem Project.
Taylor says: "Thanks to Mary, Neko, Alexis, Julia, Sarah, Cami, Chioma, and Mia – the young girls who agreed to be part of the film and share their stories. This film features real stories about body appearance that may be upsetting to some viewers. Thanks to Dove for having me as a voice in their amazing Dove Self-Esteem project. Also thanks to my gorgey band for the BVs - Sophie Galpin, Levi Heaton and Seraphina Simone."
The Dove Self-Esteem Project is the largest provider of self esteem education of its kind. New research by the Dove Self-Esteem Project found that social media is harming the mental health of 3 in 5 kids. Dove, along with Common Sense Media and Parents Together Action, are supporting legislative change to make social media safer.
