Saidah details upcoming debut EP, takeme2
London DJ, producer, broadcaster, and vocalist Zoe Saidah has announced her debut EP, takeme2, and released title track "takeme2".
"takeme2" follows previous single "skin2skin", featuring George Riley, showcasing Saidah's playful electronic sound.
Speaking about the single, Saidah says: "With this track I wanted to create something which echoed the nostalgia of the old school garage scene in a way that still felt relevant to the new energy that’s been injected into the genre. The strong female vocals paired with a darker, rougher bass and drums strikes that balance perfectly for me. It’s always a moment in my sets where the drop hits and the crowd are hooked- something bouncy with a hit of darkness at the same time.”
The EP was inspired by the likes of Conducta and ANZ as a collection of songs that celebrate connection and joy brought to the dancefloor. Saidah is currently on tour in the UK and Europe with more dates to be announced, with festival appearances scheduled for Mint Festival, Lighthouse Festival, and Drift Festival.
