Sadurn reveal new song, "never tell me"

"never tell me" follows lead single "whole thing" as the latest preview of a collection of songs blending alt-country, bedroom pop, and indie rock. The track was played as a staple ender of the band's live set ahead of the release of their 2022 debut Radiator, and arrives alongside a puppet-led music video.

"'never tell me' is one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written, I think," vocalist G DeGroot says. "It started emerging in 2021 at the moment of a breakup, and then I became too depressed to finish it for another six months. The upside of that is that I was able to write it alongside the full band - we had only recently started playing together, and it was really fun to be able to bring a song to them while it was still in progress. I think that’s something that sets this album apart from Radiator - those earlier songs I had written for Sadurn as an acoustic duo and then adapted to a full band, whereas these ones were mostly written with a band in mind."
