Ryan Gosling's band Dead Man's Bones is back after 17 years

17 years ago, Ryan Gosling and screenwriter Zach Shields released an album as Dead Man's Bones, a collaboration with Flea's Silverlake Conservatory Children’s Choir. Now they have teased their return via Instagram, right in time for Halloween.

"OCTOBER 27th" read the caption on the band's newly created official Instagram account along with a video of a disembodied ghostly talking head reading some Tim Burtony poetry. It seems that, on 27 October, "our ghosts will leave their world for this, to dance with us at twilight time."

"A HALLOWEEN MIRACLE," Gosling commented.

Gosling and Shields formed the band over a mutual obsession with the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland and looped in the Silverlake Conservatory of Music children's choir, founded by Flea, back when they made their 2009 album. The last public activity from the duo - Gosling and Shields - was that self-titled album, released by ANTI-, though their music has since been featured in a bunch of movies and TV, from the 2013 horror The Conjuring to The Duffer Brothers' new show from earlier this year, The Boroughs.
