Oasis, Wu-Tang Clan, Sade, and more inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has revealed its list of inductees for 2026, with eight artists honoured in this year's class.
The inductees were announced during a live broadcast of "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night" on American Idol on Monday, 13 April. The full list includes Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan. These were the final names selected from a list of seventeen nominees, with The Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Mariah Carey, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, INXS, Pink, Shakira, and New Edition not making the cut for this year.
This marks Collins' second induction, as he is a member of the Hall of Fame as a member of Genesis. Collins, Wu-Tang Clan, and the late Luther Vandross have been inducted on their first nomination, while this is the second nomination for Billy Idol and Sade, and the third for Oasis, Iron Maiden, and Joy Division/New Order.
Additional artists have been inducted across other categories. Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, and Gram Parsons have been recognised for Early Influence, songwriter Linda Creed and producers Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, and Rick Rubin for Musical Excellence, and the late TV show host Ed Sullivan has been honoured with the Ahmet Ertegun Award. This year's Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony is set to take place on 14 November at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
