Rihanna gets hypocritical and asks GloRilla: "When the Album Drop?"
GloRilla has just shared a DM that Rihanna sent her, asking about when she will be dropping new music.
Infamously known for avoiding discussing when she will be releasing the follow-up to 2016's ANTI, Rihanna has gone viral for being "hypocritical".
After footage circulated of her rapping and dancing along to GloRilla‘s “TGIF” single, GloRilla posted a DM that she was sent from Rihanna. On the last slide of a carousel of photos from the 2024 BET Awards, the screenshot read: “You got all summer sis! I know dis wild hypocritical, but when the album drop?”

Last month, Rihanna spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the status of her forthcoming album, saying: "I’m starting over. But I don’t want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I’m still in love with... I think that music, for me, is a new discovery. I’m rediscovering things. I have been working on the album for so long that I kinda put all that stuff aside and now I’m prepared to go back in the studio. I’m gonna start — give me a second!”
