Philadelphia-born rapper, actor, and television host Eve has today announced a UK/EU headline tour to mark the 25th anniversary of her Platinum-certified 2001 album Scorpion.
The announcement follows the release of a limited edition red and black splatter double LP of Scorpion and comes after Eve co-hosted the MOBO Awards in Manchester last month.
The tour spans 15 dates, opening in Helsinki on 9 October and moving through Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands before concluding in Amsterdam on 4 November. The London show falls on 2 November.
“I’m so excited to go out on this tour to celebrate 25 years of Scorpion,” Eve said. “This album means so much to me and my career and I can’t wait to see all the fans and celebrate with you all. This will be a celebration of my career across all my albums musically.”
Released in 2001, Scorpion featured the Grammy-winning single “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” with Gwen Stefani, as well as “Who’s That Girl”. The record reached platinum certification in the US and Canada, and gold in the UK and France. It has since accumulated over one billion streams. Guest artists included DMX, and Damian and Stephen Marley.
Eve was the third female rapper to top the US charts with a debut album. She has sold more than 10 million records worldwide across four studio albums and won two Grammys. Her screen work includes film and TV roles, and she co-hosted CBS daytime talk show The Talk, receiving two Daytime Emmy Award nominations.
Tickets go on general sale from 30 April.
