Queen unveil previously unreleased Christmas song, "Not For Sale (Polar Bear)"
Just over 50 years after the release of Queen II, Queen have revealed unreleased Christmas track, "Not For Sale (Polar Bear)".
"Not For Sale (Polar Bear)" was originally recorded during the Queen II sessions in 1974, but it didn't make it to the final tracklist. The song, composed by Brian May, has been remastered as part of next year's reissue of Queen II, and premiered exclusively on May's Planet Rock Christmas Special on Monday. In a statement, May says:
"It’s a work in progress and will appear on the forthcoming rebuild of the Queen II album – coming next year – but I’m sneaking this into my Planet Rock special because I’m fascinated to know what people think about it. I hope people have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year!”
The Planet Rock Christmas Special — which also features a selection of May's favourite holiday songs — will receive a repeat broadcast at 5 PM on Christmas Day, giving fans another opportunity to hear the nearly lost track as part of the radio special.
Tune in here at 5 PM to catch Brian May's Planet Rock Christmas Special.
