Primavera Pro to tackle new models and challenges in music industry as speakers for 2025 event revealed
Primavera Pro will address key issues that are redefining the music industry for its 2025 event.
From 4-6 June, the event will bring together experts from the global music industry in talks and panels at the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona, along with showcases by artists who are already making a difference in their local scenes.
This year, Primavera Pro will tackle critical challenges that are reshaping the music ecosystem – from the value consumers place on music and how this influences their investment of time and money, to the need to rethink the structures that support emerging artists. New revenue streams, strategic allies and sustainable models for artists to build their careers with greater autonomy and for managers to provide more effective support will be explored, in a context where the traditional role of record labels is being challenged. There will also be a debate on the aesthetic narrative that defines live shows and its impact on the relationship between artists and audience.
Among the first names announced to speak at Primavera Pro are Cecilia Soojeong Yi – the co-founder of DMZ Peace Train Music Festival, held near the border between the two Koreas; PC Music label manager Andrew Mishko; Hildur Maral, the co-founder and CEO of Ólafur Arnalds' OPIA Community; and Secretly Group A&R Director Lau Frías – who works with the likes of Cassandra Jenkins, Chanel Beads, and Wednesday.
Check out the poster below for the full list of names.

#FollowTheSong also returns to Primavera Pro this year, with international producers, composers and artists coming together to create music in collaborative sessions at Medusa Studios. This camp is one of the event's key activities to support emerging artists, giving them the opportunity to showcase their work, collaborate with industry professionals and shape the hits of the future.
Primavera Pro event runs from 2 - 8 June at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona and the Parc del Fòrum. Primavera Pro Conference Pass accreditations are onsale now, with options to access to the whole Primavera Pro and the Primavera Sound programme.
