Prima Queen unveil final album preview, "Sunshine Song"
Prima Queen have shared "Sunshine Song" as the final preview of their forthcoming debut album, The Prize.
"‘Sunshine Song’ was written at a time when everything felt quite overwhelming. When you’re not feeling good it’s tempting to stay in bed and hide from it all, but we found solace in the power of simple pleasures like going on a morning walk in the sunshine, having your head underwater in the swimming pool, or seeing patterns of light on the wall from your bedroom window," Prima Queen explains.
"Sunshine is especially powerful in the first weeks of spring, after the relentless cold and darkness of the winter. Sometimes all you need is to hear a bird sing and it be light after 5pm to feel the serotonin rush back into your body :) ‘Sunshine Song’ is our antidote to the messy thoughts in our heads and acts as a mantra to return to the moment."
The Prize is set for release on 25 April 2025 via Submarine Cat Records, and is available to pre-order now.
