Prima Queen announce their debut album, The Prize
Indie duo Prima Queen have announced their forthcoming debut album, The Prize, and share brand new track "Ugly".
“‘Ugly’ is about trying to maintain a festival romance in the real world," Prima Queen says of the album preview. "It was written after the ending of a situationship with an uneven power dynamic and after being let down repeatedly, coming to the painful acceptance that it will never be what you hoped for.”
Commenting on their forthcoming album, the band added: “We’re beyond excited to finally be releasing an album out into the world! We’ve been working on it for such a long time and it feels like a real statement of our growth, both separately and together. It’s been our little secret for a while now and we can’t wait for it to be yours!”
The Prize is set for release on 25 April 2025 via Submarine Cat Records, and is available to pre-order now.
