Watch Prewn cover Enya's "Only Time" at End of the Road Festival this weekend
The piano stage at End of the Road saw one of its biggest crowds ever this weekend as Prewn was revealed for a secret session, which included a cover of Enya's "Only Time", which you can watch below.
The song - originally released in 2000 and taken from the Irish musician's Day Without Rain album - is masterfully transformed into a twisted indie rock anthem by Izzy Hagerup, who dropped her second record System late last year. Hagerup is currently playing the final dates on her UK tour this coming week in Glasgow, London and Southampton before further shows across Europe.
The cover was part of a series of secret session programmed by Best Fit at this year's festival, which also saw pop-up sets from the likes of Jeffrey Lewis. Jordan Patterson, Madra Salach, Morgan Nagler, TTSSFU, Way Dynamic, Hadyen Thorpe, Cleo Reed, Hudson Freeman, Modern Woman, Thredd and Caroline's Jasper Llewelyn.
Best Fit's secret sessions have become a key part of End of the Road each year, bringing together artists from across the line-up in a series of short sets, exclusive covers, collaborations, and live interviews and Q&As. Past guests from our 15-year collaboration with the festival include Lucy Dacus, St Vincent, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, Moses Sumney, Laura Marling, Patti Smith, and Frightened Rabbit - who played a now iconic version of "The Modern Leper".
End of the Road returns next year for its 21st edition, with early bird tickets on sale this Tuesday from endoftheroadfestival.com
