Festival Preview: BBC 6 Music 2014
BBC Radio 6 Music‘s inaugural 6 Music Festival is set to take place this weekend at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse and we think we’re probably just as excited about it as they are. With a line-up that boasts the likes of Damon Albarn, Kelis, The National, Metronomy, Lykke Li and Wild Beasts and loads more that’s hardly surprising.
Taking place on Friday 28 February and Saturday 1 March, now is your chance to get to grips with that incredible looking line-up if you’re not already as we’ve pulled out some of our favourites below.
There is also a Fringe Festival happening next door at the Victoria Warehouse Hotel which features interviews, poetry, readings, a photographic exhibition by Jason Joyce and some intimate performances from the likes of Nadine Shah and Connan Mockasin. More information about the Fringe portion of the festival can be found here.
Listen on air and see the performances live and on demand at www.bbc.co.uk/6music, plus highlights via BBC Red Button from Saturday for seven days. You can find out more info on the event here.
